The essence of this blog is photography, but today I make an exception. July 28th, National Independence Day. You can see in this video some images of Trujillo, Machu Picchu (Cusco)and more cities of my great country.

At the beggining, it was called Iglesia de la Compañía, located in the main square of my city, now this great building has become in an auditorium of the National University of Trujillo. Here, I got my graduation. Photo of my friend Alexis Castro.

It was a wild night, they drank so much and swore each other not to forget their promise: meet again in the same place, the same date, a year later. You can see them in front of the statue and surrounded by the beautiful colonial houses.

St. Valentine's Day

Love between newspapers and bottles

Sara works everyday, she helps her mother selling newspapers. Jorge has a tricycle and he works distibuting coca cola and other sodas. He goes to bars and shops and offer his products. One day Sara felt so thirsty and called Jorge for a coca cola. Jorge gave her one bottle as a gift. Since that day they meet -after work- at 8:00 pm, but today in St. Valentine's Day Jorge arrived suddenly until Sara's place. He is inviting her to go to the movies. He will take chocolates and will kiss her so much during the film. This one of the most ussual ways young people celebrate this holiday in Perú.

Sara trabaja ese día, ella ayuda a su madre vendiendo periódicos. Jorge tiene un triciclo y trabaja distribuyendo coca cola y otras gaseosas. Él va a bares y tiendas y ofrece sus productos. Un día Sara sintió mucha sed y llamó a Jorge por una coca cola. Jorge le dió una botella como regalo. Desde ese día ellos se encuentran -después de trabajar- a las 8:00 pm, pero hoy en el Día de San Valentín Jorge llegó repentinamente al puesto de Sara. Él la está invitando a ir al cine. Llevará chocolates y la besará mucho durante la película. Ésta es una de las maneras más usuales de la juventud de celebrar esta ocasión en Perú.
